Lisa really made the entire experience relaxing and positive for me. Her being able to help my wife through the pain and stress of the labor really made me feel more comfortable. Lisa got me involved to help my wife as well – but I'm confident that if she wasn't there it would have been much more difficult for us and we probably would have gotten into an argument. I think the two bullet points would be helping Bridget manage the pain and just explaining to us what was coming next in the process.  When the baby wasn’t getting much to eat and Bridget was frustrated with that whole process (its not as easy as it sounds / looks.) And when the baby was spending a lot of time screaming and we couldn’t figure out what was wrong or how to calm him down. Here again, Lisa Fincaryk saved the day. She spent several hours with us. She showed Bridget some techniques to help with feeding the baby. She showed us some ways to help calm the baby and she helped us plan a schedule. She also spent time telling us we weren’t crazy or incompetent - which was more helpful than I realized at the time."
